How It Got Started

Through weekly blog posts, we express our opinions on issues in bioethics, medical ethics, and healthcare.

 

The Society of Bioethics and Medicine Blog was created at Hunter college in 2015 with the aim to increase discussion about bioethics among students. The club has grown to bring awareness about ethical issues in medicine to many ambitious and passionate students who are able to voice their opinions and listen to others in order to learn different perspectives on a given topic. Events from speakers in health-related or academic fields to student lead discussions and debates relate controversial issues in medicine and human values. This club creates a space to consider ethical tensions of current issues in a civilized and respectful manner. In addition, our blog serves as an outlet for students to share their thoughts on issues they are interested in.
