How It Started
WE ARE THE SOCIETY OF BIOETHICS AND MEDICINE AT HUNTER COLLEGE.

The Society of Bioethics and Medicine Blog was created at CUNY Hunter College in 2015 with the aim of increasing discussion about bioethics among students. The club has brought awareness about ethical issues in medicine to a diverse range of ambitious students, all of who are able to passionately voice their opinions while attentively listening to others to learn different perspectives on any given topic.
Through weekly blog posts, we express our opinions on issues in bioethics, medical ethics, and healthcare. Events from speakers in health-related or academic fields to student lead discussions and debates related to controversial issues in medicine and human values.

The club creates a space to consider ethical tensions of current issues in a civilized and respectful manner. Our online blog serves as an outlet for students to share their thoughts on issues they are interested in.
